After an incredible Euro 2020 campaign, there is little time to rest, with the return of domestic football less than a month away.
Ahead of the 2021-22 season we have done an eight fold antepost bet which with a £20 stake returns £578.
Liverpool Premier League top four: 1/4
Liverpool endured a difficult defence of their Premier League title last year, losing an incredible amount of players to injury, combined with a retched run in the middle of the season.
Despite this they ended the campaign brilliantly, winning eight and drawing two of their final ten games to claim third, a finish that looked incomprehensible a few months prior.
The return of Virgil van Dijk is massive for the Reds and he will have a full pre-season under his belt this year, having missed basically all of the previous campaign.
The bookies have them around third favourites for the title and although we think they will just fall short of Manchester City, odds of 1/4 are good value for another top four finish.
Fulham Championship top six: 8/13
Fulham were poor for the majority of 2020-21, succumbing to relegation with three Premier League matches in hand.
Manager Scott Parker left the club in the off season for Bournemouth and Marco Silva has returned to the English game with the Championship side.
Fulham are favourites for the title and should they keep the likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic, Tom Cairney and Frank Zambo Anguissa then these odds are justified.
Fulham have yo yoed between the Premier League and Championship over the last four seasons and we’d expect them to at least make the play-offs again.
Odds of 8/13 represent good value for a top six finish and the Cottages are our second leg of the bet.
Sunderland League One top six: 4/6
Sunderland were again beaten in the play-offs last term and face a fourth season in the English third tier.
In Lee Johnson though they have a good young manager and who steadied the ship last term when they looked set to miss out on the top six.
Losing Charlie Wyke is a blow for the Black Cats, however additions in the form of Corry Evans and Alex Pritchard look impressive, with the latter having the potential to rip League One to pieces.
There is always pressure at the Stadium of Light; however if Sunderland make a good start then odds of 4/6 are favourable for a top six finish.
Salford City League Two top seven: 4/7
League Two big spenders Salford City are again amongst the favourites for promotion and we expect them to improve on their eighth placed finish last term.
In Gary Bowyer they have one of the more experienced managers in the Football League and Gary Neville and co have entrusted Bowyer on a permanent basis having previously only been in interim charge.
Vaclav Hladky is the big loss for Salford this summer, with the keeper joining League One side Ipswich Town; however he has been replaced well by Tom King who performed well for Newport County.
Matthew Lund and Conor McAleny are the two big additions for Salford, with the pair key players at Rochdale and Oldham Athletic respectively.
Juventus Serie A winners: 5/4
Andrea Pirlo lasted just the one season as Juventus manager after a fourth placed finish last term, ending their nine year run of dominance in Italy.
Having resigned two years ago, Massimiliano Allegri returns to the club having had an unprecedented run of success in charge of the Old Lady.
They have been relatively quiet on the transfer front so far; however should they keep Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala at the club then they will be well placed to win the Scudetto back.
Closest rivals Inter have seen Antonio Conte resign and full-back Achraf Hakimi leave the club, meaning they will be weakened ahead of next season.
Odds of better than evens looks good for Juventus and a tenth title in 11 years.
Atletico Madrid La Liga winners (without Real or Barcelona): 4/6
Atletico Madrid seized upon the discontent at both Real Madrid and Barcelona last term to win La Liga, with the signing of Luis Suarez key in a second title in seven years.
Manager Diego Simeone has committed himself to Atletico for another three years and will be looking to build on an excellent 2020-21.
Whilst it will be hard for them to defend their title, they are well placed to finish best of the rest in La Liga at odds of 4/6.
They have been relatively quiet on the transfer front; however keeping the majority of their squad from last term appears to be a priority.
Bayern Munich Bundesliga winners: 1/6
Bayern Munich’s domestic dominance has certainly becoming boring in Germany and they will go for a tenth consecutive title this term.
There will be a big change at the club this season though as Julian Nagelsmann takes the reins having left RB Leipzig for the biggest job in German domestic football.
He will bring with him Dayot Upamecano to the club, who will replace David Alaba who has joined Real Madrid.
With their biggest rival for the title so handicapped following these moves, it is hard to see any side challenge Bayern for another Bundesliga crown.
Paris Saint Germain Ligue 1 winners: 1/4
Having lost the Ligue 1 title last year, Paris Saint Germain certainly have wasted little time in improving their squad.
Hakimi, Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Sergio Ramos have all joined the club, with only the former commanding a transfer fee.
Lille were superb in 2020-21 on route to the title; however it’s hard to look past PSG in Mauricio Pochettino’s first full season in charge of the club.
The odds are small; however they add a little top up to our eight fold bet.
