Premier League: Arsenal top six finish
Arsenal have perhaps enjoyed the best transfer window of any Premier League side this summer and go into the new campaign with real optimism.
Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have both signed from title holders Manchester City and the pair will considerably improve the Gunners.
Arsenal narrowly missed out on a return to the Champions League last term, with a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle United on the penultimate game of the season costly.
It’s hard to see how they at least don’t mirror their fifth placed finish last term and a top six spot is surely a shoe-in for an exciting Gunners side.
Championship: Norwich City top six finish
Norwich City’s consistent yo-yoing between the Premier League and Championship shows no sign of halting after they were relegated from the top flight at the first attempt last season.
The Canaries have won promotion from the Championship in both of their recent attempts and it’s hard to see how they at least don’t finish in the top six.
Dean Smith has managed to keep most of the squad together, including the likes of Milot Rashica and Teemu Pukki, who has an incredible record at this level.
About 90% of the squad have achieved promotion with Norwich City before and they are experts at getting out of the division.
League One: Bolton Wanderers top six finish
Bolton were 10 points short of a play-off spot last campaign following their return to League One; however we fancy them to finish higher this time around.
Most of the squad has remained intact and in Ian Evatt they have one of the more attack minded coaches in the division.
The signing of Jack Iredale from Cambridge United has been their stand out move after he was described as “the best left-back in League One” last year.
Behind the likes of Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday, they probably have the strongest squad in the division and a top six finish looks a good shout.
League Two: Mansfield Town top seven finish
Mansfield Town were beaten in the play-off final last year and unsurprisingly they are again among the favourites for promotion from League Two.
A slow start ultimately cost them automatic promotion last time out, winning just two of their first 14 matches and they will need to improve on that this time around.
Hiram Boateng and Christy Pym are the stand out summer additions and under the stewardship of Nigel Clough, they should easily secure a top seven finish.
