SC Freiburg vs. Borussia Dortmund: Over 2.5 goals
Borussia Dortmund travel to SC Freiburg in the Friday night Bundesliga fixture.
Surprisingly their opening fixture saw just one goal; however they are one of the best for producing over 2.5 goals and we will return to that for them here.
Six of the last seven meetings between the two teams have seen over 2.5 goals, including both meetings last season.
Manchester City vs. Bournemouth: Manchester City -1 handicap
The gimme of the weekend see’s newly promoted Bournemouth travel to face reigning champions Manchester City.
Manchester City have an incredible record against Bournemouth, winning 15 of the 17 meetings between the two sides, with the other two meetings finishing level.
City are as short as 1/16 on to record a home win, so adding a little extra to the bet is a necessity to find any sort of value.
They won by two goals against West Ham in their opener and surely at least the same margin of victory can be expected at the Etihad.
Lecce vs. Inter: Inter
Inter travel to face newly promoted Lecce in the opening round of Serie A as they look to go one better and lift a second title in three years.
Lecce’s transfer window hasn’t given many confidence that they can last longer than a season in Italy’s top flight and starts to the season don’t get much harder than Inter.
Romelu Lukaku’s return to Inter was their stand out piece of business, but keeping Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni from Premier League suitors was just as important.
It’s hard to look past a comfortable away win here!
Paris Saint Germain vs. Montpellier: PSG HT / FT
Paris Saint Germain have made an excellent start to life under new manager Christophe Galtier, recording 4-0 and 5-0 wins respectively over Nantes and Clermont Foot.
Perhaps most importantly for PSG, both wins came without key man Kylian Mbappe, whilst Lionel Messi produced two of his best performances for the club since arriving 12 months ago.
Montpellier opened their account for the season with a 3-2 win over Troyes; however fixtures don’t come harder than a trip to the capital.
To add value, a PSG HT/FT double is the best bet.
Chelsea vs. Tottenham: BTTS
The first meeting between two of last seasons top six takes place on Sunday as Chelsea entertain Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
Both sides won their opening fixtures last weekend and calling a winner here is tough.
We are expecting to see goals and there is value in backing BTTS at 10/11, just shy of evens!
