Chelsea vs. Tottenham: Premier League – Match Preview

Two of the top three meet on Sunday as Chelsea entertain the early league leaders Tottenham.

Chelsea are in excellent form and eased past Newcastle United last weekend, with a Federico Fernandez own goal doubled by Tammy Abraham’s second half goal.

Olivier Giroud’s last minute winner at Rennes on Tuesday guaranteed their place in the knock out rounds of the Champions League.

Carlos Vinicius scored his first Tottenham goals as they eased past Ludogorets in the Europa League.

Prior to this they put in their best performance under Jose Mourinho, beat Manchester City 2-0 thanks to goals from Heung Min Son and Giovani Lo Celso.

Team news
Christian Pulisic is expected to return to the bench this weekend having overcome a thigh injury.

Thiago Silva will likely replace Antonio Rudiger in the only change from the side that beat Newcastle.

Toby Alderweireld suffered a groin injury in the win over City and is set to miss a few weeks.

Hugo Lloris, Steven Bergwijn and Lo Celso missed the midweek Europa League game fixture, however none of their issues are likely to prevent involvement here.
