Frank Lampard’s first competitive game in charge of Chelsea see’s them travel to face Manchester United.

Manchester United improved their defence in the summer window, adding Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan Bissaka.

After a disappointing 2018-19 campaign, United will be looking for a return to the Champions League, but face an uphill task.

Chelsea won the Europa League and finished third under Mauricio Sarri last season, however he left for Juventus in the summer.

The club had a transfer ban, so were only able to make the loan signing of Mateo Kovacic permanent.

Both league meetings last season finished level, including a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford with Marcos Alonso earning Chelsea a point.

Harry Maguire is likely to come straight into the XI for his Manchester United debut, however Chris Smalling will deputise if required.

Paul Pogba missed the recent friendly with AC Milan, but should overcome a small injury.
