Manchester United vs. Partizan Belgrade: Europa League – Match Preview

by hisham

Manchester United can secure their spot in the knock out rounds of the Europa League with a positive result against Partizan Belgrade.

Manchester United’s decent little run came to an end with a disappointing loss away at Bournemouth last time out.

Joshua King’s first half goal was the winner, meaning United have failed to score more than one goal in nine of their 11 league matches.

The pair met in the competition a fortnight ago, with Anthony Martial scoring the winner in Belgrade.

Belgrade have four points in the group, having recorded a win away at Astana in the second game day.

Team news
Ashley Young is suspended at the weekend and therefore it’s very likely he will start.

Mason Greenwood and James Garner will hope to get game time on Thursday.

Former Manchester United player Zoran Tosic is likely to line up for the visitors.

Another familiar name in Lazar Markovic will miss out though due to injury.

Expected starting XI’s
Manchester United (4-3-3): Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Jones, Rojo, Young; Pereira, McTominay, Garner; Lingard, Greenwood, Martial
Partizan Belgrade (4-2-3-1): Stojkovic; Miletic, Ostojic, Pavlovic, Urosevic; Natkho, Zdjelar; Tosic, Soumah, Asano; Sadiq
