Anything other than victory for Tottenham on Wednesday away to PSV Eindhoven will effectively end their Champions League hopes.
Spurs have lost their first two matches in the competition and are already six points adrift of both Barcelona and Inter.
Domestically they have made a very good start, winning seven from nine, including a 1-0 victory away at West Ham United on Saturday.
PSV Eindhoven have also lost their first two Champions League matches, including a 4-0 loss away at Barcelona.
In the Eredivisie though they’ve made a perfect start to the season and won 6-0 on the weekend, with both Gaston Pereiro and Luuk de Jong scoring twice.
Team news
PSV’s only injury absentee will be Ryan Thomas.
Expect to see the former Newcastle United striker De Jong lead the line here.
Erik Lamela is expected to remain in the XI following an excellent run of form, meaning Lucas Moura is most at risk.
Heung Min Son and Christian Eriksen were substitutes on the weekend and should return to the team.
