England travel to Malta on Friday night looking to take another step towards 2018 World Cup Qualification.
Malta have lost all six games so far in qualifying and were beaten 2-0 away at Slovenia last time out.
They put in a decent performance at Wembley in the reverse fixture, only suffering a two goal loss in Gareth Southgate’s first game in charge.
England are top of the group having won four and drawn two of their opening six games.
Last time out though they needed a last minute goal from Harry Kane to earn a point away at Scotland.
Team news
Andre Schembri should get the nod in attack for the hosts ahead of the former Coventry man Michael Mifsud.
Jordan Pickford may well have been in line to start here had he not suffered an injury prior to the fixture.
Gary Cahill is serving a domestic ban for Chelsea, but should start here and captain the team following Wayne Rooney’s retirement.
Micheal Keane is likely to partner Cahill in defence, but Phil Jones is in contention following an excellent start to the season.
