Tottenham vs. Arsenal: Premier League – Match Preview

The first North London derby of the season takes place on Sunday as league leaders Tottenham entertain an Arsenal side that have struggled so far.

Spurs earned a decent 0-0 draw away at Chelsea last time out, in a game of very few chances.

They also progressed in the Europa League; however Jose Mourinho was critical of the side following a 3-3 draw away at LASK.

Arsenal were beaten for the fifth time in 11 league matches as they lost 2-1 at home to Wolves last Sunday.

They secured a fifth win in the Europa League though as they eased past Rapid Vienna.

Toby Alderweireld returned to training in the week and a late call will be made on the defender.

Nicolas Pepe will serve the second of a three game ban and Arsenal could also be without Thomas Partey and David Luiz.

It’s unclear what formation the Gunners will use, however a defensive mindset is expected.
